The popular Amazon cloud-based voice service known as Alexa is learning a little bit more Spanish.

Starting in early October, Alexa users will able to access Spanish-language content from Univision Communications across all Echo products.

This includes all Uforia-powered Univision Radio station audio streams, national news briefs from Univision Noticias, and sports briefs from TUDN, Univision’s rebranded multimedia sports brand in partnership with Mexico-based Televisa.

Thanks to the agreement, Alexa users will be able to request Univision Radio stations by name, frequency or call letters. The Uforia skill also offers replays of such programs as “El Bueno, La Mala y El Feo,” the popular syndicated program airing on regional Mexican stations across the U.S.

Univision Radio President Jesus Lara said the company is excited to extend its rich content offerings to new platforms and to partner with Amazon “to make voice search faster and more intelligent, en Español.”
