Getting television stations to use channel sharing in conjunction with participating in the spectrum auction is a key component to its success. But according to station activist Preston Padden, if the FCC doesn’t get its act together on a key issue for the sharers, that option won’t amount to much.
The issue is the preservation of must-carry rights for stations sharing a single channel.
