NBC says production of “Parenthood,” a new series due to debut this fall, has been put on hold for eight weeks because of an unspecified “medical evaluation” of co-star Maura Tierney, moving the premiere date to mid-season. The network refused to provide any more information about her condition. The cast and crew of “Parenthood” had previously been shocked by the on-set death of NBC Universal executive Nora O’Brien.
