Envision Radio NetworksEnvision Radio Networks announced the return of Paul Shaffer’s Rock Hall Spectacular for Classic Rock stations. This free two hour special saluting Rock Hall inductees past and is hosted by David Letterman’s longtime musical director, Paul Shaffer, and will feature an exclusive interview with Glenn Frey, founding member of The Eagles.


Frey shares his memories of playing with The Eagles for 40 years and looks back on the night in 1998 when he and The Eagles were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Frey also discusses this year’s tour dates with The Eagles, his solo show, and his new solo album “After Hours.”

Shaffer also speaks with Jann Wenner, the Vice Chairman and co-founder of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Editor and Publisher of Rolling Stone magazine. Find out who they think deserves to be inducted into the Rock Hall but keeps getting overlooked.

Shaffer, who has served as musical producer for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony since its inception in 1986, will share his stories of past inductions and lend insight on this year’s class of inductees.  This version of the special includes classic rock music from Rock Hall inductees The Police, Eric Clapton, The Beatles, Guns N’ Roses, and a live Rock Hall performance from Mick Jagger and Bruce Springsteen.

The feature is available for broadcast beginning 4/4 –in time for the 2012 Induction Ceremony on 4/14.

  1. bobby rydell is one of the remaining rock in roll artists of the 1950s and early 1960s still performing today when a lot of other artists have called it quits. he deserves the reconition and honor into the rock and roll hall of fame..
