In a big “get” for the Internet-based radio service, Pandora has added former News Corporation COO Peter Chernin to its board of directors. Also joining is Barry McCarthy, former CFO of Netflix.

Peter Chernin is currently heading his own companies, The Chernin Group and Chernin Entertainment. The Chernin Group manages, operates and invests in businesses in the media, entertainment and technology sectors. Chernin Entertainment produces feature films and television programs. He left News Corporation in 2009 after a long run as Rupert Murdoch’s right hand man.
Barry McCarthy served as CFO of Netflix for nearly 12 years before stepping down in December of last year.
