In December 1946, a 5kw AM serving the San Jose, Calif., area signed on the air. Today, it uses 4 towers at night and 1 during the day to serve the San Francisco Bay Area’s southern half.
Now, it is poised to no longer be the sibling of Country KRTY-FM.
