KYW Philadelphia reports a new campaign for the City of Brotherly Love will reach out to potential travelers through a series of “love letters.”: Imagine the City of Philadelphia as a warm and loving person, reaching out to potential visitors through billboards, radio and TV spots, bus shelters, street banners, even tote bags that say things like “With love, Philadelphia XOXO.”
Said Meryl Levitz, CEO of the Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation: “Over the years Philadelphia has developed such a personality that we thought it would be a lot of fun. Philadelphia, in its own warm but edgy upfront way, sent love letters directly to prospective travelers. That’s a very unusual thing for a city to do or a destination to do.”
The effort speaks directly to those living east of the Mississippi, offering the opportunity for a great vacation without breaking the bank.
