0

As the marketplace for Internet radio becomes more competitive, Com One has given consumers more reasons to choose the Phoenix Wi-Fi Radio. New firmware (version 1.7) has been released. Enhancements include:

· upgraded GUI (graphical user interface)
· upgraded alarm on clock
· upgraded UPnP for networking audio stored on a computer
· improved Wi-Fi reconnection process
· autonomy improvement: battery charging algorithm was entirely redesigned. (requires a full battery charging cycle to be initialized (~10 hours)

In addition, one new feature has been added that allows you to remotely control the Phoenix Radio by any kind of Digital Media Controller (DMC) and listen to radio stations and podcasts or stream content from a Digital Media Server (DMS).

Com One has also launched a beta version of the iGoogle widget for the Phoenix Radio, which allows you to access your personalized radio content on an iGoogle’s personal home page. This is ideal for the user who has customized content on a Phoenix Radio at the home or office and wants to access that same audio menu while traveling.
