Pioneer is showing five new NEX (Networked Entertainment Experience) aftermarket receivers for 2016 at CES. They’re all compatible with Apple CarPlay and three are compatible with Android Auto. Four of the five include built-in HD Radio.
With the expanded iDatalink support and used with the optional iDatalink module, the radios function with driver assist cues and climate controls.
The AVIC-8200, AVIC-7200 and the AVH-4200NEX feature both CarPlay and Android Auto capability. Shipping to retailers in March are three models previously mentioned, plus the 6200NEX and 5200NEX. All feature built-in HD Radio except the 5200. List prices range from $700 to $1,400.
