Pocatello AM sold out of receivership

SoldThe inventory of Wayne Klein is in decline, and that’s a good thing. The sale of KPTO-AM Pocatello ID makes it three down, one to go as far as finding new owners for a quartet of radio stations is concerned.

The station was once part of Legacy Communications. Klein is selling it under licensee name AM Radio 1440 Inc. As the name implies, it is indeed a 1440 kHz facility, currently silent, with 2.5 kW-D, 350 W-N, DA2.

The buyer is Main Street Broadcasting LLC, headed by Ted W. Austin.

The price is $41K cash.

Austin also owns KJNT-AM Jackson WY. There is no overlap between the two stations.

Klein’s other recent sales include KENT-AM Parowan UT, which went to Canyon Media Group for $12K, and KOGN-AM Ogden UT, which went to Familia Broadcasting for $25K. Both deals were filed with the FCC in March.

Still on Klein’s shelf is KITT-FM Soda Springs ID.
