A 19-year veteran of one of the nation’s biggest ad rep firms will no longer oversee just its digital audio sales. He’s added oversight of its digital video sales operations.
Effective May 1, Scott Porretti is now EVP/Digital for Katz Media Group, taking an expanding role at the media sales organization.
Porretti reports to Katz Media Group CEO Mark Gray, expanding the team’s focus in a newly created role “with a stronger push toward the growing areas of over-the-top content (OTT), podcasting, digital audio programmatic and video on behalf of current and new partners.”
Under his Porretti, Katz says, Katz Digital’s audio business has seen more than 30% growth in each of the past four years. “Premium partners” include Spotify, Entercom, Cox Media Group, Univision, and Cumulus Media.
Porretti has been a member of Katz Media Group since June 1999, and has been VP/Manager of the New York office, and manager of Katz’s San Francisco office.
“As broadcasters and publishers continue to make investments to bring more premium, highly valued audio and video inventory to the market, Katz intends to play a key role in helping our partners monetize that inventory,” Gray said. “Scott is a well-respected industry leader that knows how to drive transformation and results.
