Nationally-syndicated morning host Big Boy from hip-hop Emmis’ KPWR Power 106 Los Angeles is Executive Producing his first independent, feature-length film through his production company Ida’s Son Productions in partnership with Ask Around Productions — a romantic comedy by Slamdance screenwriting finalist Jameel Saleem. “Exit Strategy” is Directed by Michael Whitton, Produced by Big Boy’s Neighborhood personality Quincy “QDeezy” Harris and Kellie Maltagliati and stars Jameel Saleem and Kimelia Weathers.

James (Jameel Saleem) gets evicted from his apartment and moves in with his girlfriend of 3 months Kim (Kimelia Weathers) and quickly discovers she’s everything he never wanted in a woman. He enlists best friends Carville (Quincy “Qdeezy” Harris) and Leona (Noelle Balfour) to find a relationship exit strategy, but for Kim, breaking up just isn’t an option.

“I’m a movie fan — and when QDeezy brought this to me, I thought it’d be something my listeners would be in to,” said Big Boy. “These guys are talented and super funny and I want to support them. I know people are going to love it.”

“This movie is about what happens when men and women try to make a relationship work, even when it doesn’t,” said QDeezy. “We take on all the funny stuff that can happen when two people are on different pages in a relationship — the girl’s thinking ‘I Do’ but the guy’s thinking ‘I Do… for now.'”

Comedian and actor Kevin Hart also joins the cast in a cameo role, along with Big Boy and several other high-profile performers to be announced later.

Principal photography is taking place in Los Angeles and North Hollywood, with post-production also to be completed in Los Angeles.

Big Boy is syndicated in 43 markets nationwide. He has also made several cameos and appearances in movies such as Adam Sandler’s “The Longest Yard,” “Charlie’s Angels 2,” and “Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo.”
