Premiere promotes Martin Melius

Premiere Networks announced the promotion of Martin Melius to Vice President of Affiliate Relations, Urban Programming from Senior National Director of Affiliate Relations.  Based in Los Angeles, Melius will continue to report to Peter Tripi, Senior Vice President of Affiliate Relations/Talk and Morning Shows.


In this new position, Melius will oversee affiliate sales and marketing efforts for the network’s industry-leading urban programming, including The Steve Harvey Morning Show, Steve Harvey Saturdays, The Keith Sweat Hotel, The Breakfast Club, Weekends with the Breakfast Club and Keep Hope Alive with Reverend Jesse Jackson.

Tripi stated, “This is a well-deserved promotion.  Martin’s significant contributions to the growth of our programming, as well as his knowledge, professionalism and commitment to the success of our affiliates, have made him a valued member of our team.  I’m confident his focus on our urban programming will lead to continued growth and success.”

Melius joined Premiere Networks as Director of Affiliates Relations in August 2005, working with such programs as The Steve Harvey Morning Show, The Keith Sweat Hotel, Jay Mohr Sports and others.  Prior to joining Premiere, Melius served as National Director of Promotion during his six year tenure with Universal/Motown Records.  He also previously held management positions at Warner Chappell Music and Universal Music Publishing.  Melius currently resides in Los Angeles.
