We knew that WS2K Radio’s Ira Rosenblatt was selling his three-AM three-FM station group in the Elmira-Corning market to Sound Communications LLC. And now that the transaction has been officially accepted at the FCC, we know what the price is going to be.

The group is moving for $1.425M cash.

Included in the sale are WCBA-AM, WGMM-FM and WENI-AM, all licensed to Corning NY, WENY-AM and WENY-FM, licensed to Elmira NY, and WENI-FM, licensed to Big Flats NY.

Sound’s principals include Bettina J. Finn and Paige P. Christian. It is related to Vision Communications, which operates television stations in Elmira-Corning and Rochester NY. They include full power Fox WYDC-TV and low power outlet MNT WJKP-LD in the Elmira-Corning market and MNT WBGT-CA, a Class A outlet in Rochester.

Brokerage firms Frank Boyle and Company and Kozacko Media Services worked on the transaction.
