Price revealed for Emmis Terre Haute buy

SoldUsually when one mentions the values tossed around in the dealings of Emmis Communications, it is in terms of millions of dollars. That will not be the case when it comes time to close its freshly announced Terre Haute acquisition.

The deal bringing in Sports simulcast WSDX/WSDM Brazil IN will only set the company back $335K according to documents just filed with the FCC.

An LMA set to being with seller Crossroads Investments LLC will possibly give Emmis a leg up on paying off the bill for the stations. Any monthly payments associated with the LMA in excess of $15K will defray the total purchase price.

The deal completes the exit of Crossroads from the Terre Haute market. On 4/13/12, it filed to sell WBOW AM-FM to Midwest Communications for $1.3M. The FM has since changed calls to WDWQ-FM, and the pair is joining a cluster that also includes WMGY-FM, WWSY-FM, WIBQ-FM and WPRS-AM.

Additionally, Crossroads sold WAXI-FM Rockville IN, serving the area just north of Terre Haute, to DLC Media for $300K in a deal filed with the FCC 7/25/12.
