Price revealed for Omaha AM deal

We knew that Ted Tucker’s Cochise Broadcasting is selling KOMJ-AM Omaha to Victor Michael’s Kona Coast Radio. And now we know the price.

The station is going to Kona Coast for $450K cash in a deal brokered by Kalil and Company.

KOMJ will be linking up with a new FM in the market. KIMI-FM has changed its frequency and city of license and from 107.9 MHz in Humboldt NE to 107.7 MHz in Sidney IA, which along with a facilities upgrade to 50 kW @ 407’, gets it over Omaha.

This is the second time Kalil has helped move the station. Cochise bought it back in January 2007. It is taking a bit of a face-value haircut this time around, receiving $50K less than the $500K it paid for the station back then.
