Price revealed in Washington DC

We knew that Washington Redskins owner Dan Snyder paid $33M for his first trio of stations in the Washington DC market. Now, after inking a deal with Clear Channel, we know how much he’s going to pay for his second trio. According to documents filed with the FCC, WTEM-AM, WWRC-AM and WTNT-Am will run Snyder’s Red Zebra Broadcasting $24.5M. WTEM and WWRC are licensed to Washington proper, and WTNT is home to close-in suburb town Bethesda MD. They join close-in but weak WXTR-AM Alexandria VA and fringe FMs WWXT-FM Prince Frederick MD and WWXX-FM Warrenton VA in the Red Zebra Washington stable. An LMA is scheduled to kick off 7/1/08.

RBR/TVBR observation: The lion’s share of the $24.5M has to be attributed to WTEM, the only station of the six that achieves decent market coverage.
