In twin announcements made Monday by Entravision Communications, the multimedia company focused on Hispanic consumers, the company’s programmatic ad network looked to one of the biggest glossy publications targeting U.S. Latinos in selecting its VP of Digital Sales.

At the same time, its Rio Grande Valley properties have selected a SVP of Integrated Marketing Solutions.

Joing Pulpo Media is Laura Willis, who reports to Pulpo EVP Solange Curutchet. She will be based in New York.

“Laura has extensive strategic advertising media experience in executive agency and sales roles,” Curuchet said. “Her ability to attract clients and build relationships through her expertise in Hispanic marketing will prove invaluable to Pulpo Media. We are happy to have her re-join the Pulpo team and look forward to benefiting from her leadership.”

Curuchet was once a senior sales director at Pulpo Media. She returns after serving as Director of Integrated Sales at Meredith Corp.-owned People en Español, acquired in the Time deal.

Taking the McAllen, Tex.-based IMS role is Mark Garcia.

He reports to EVP/IMS, East Coast Lilly Gonzalez and will be responsible “for creating value from Entravision’s cross-platform advertising assets and raising brand awareness in the greater Rio Grande Valley.”

Gonzalez said, “Mark has extensive experience in broadcast sales, both locally in Texas and nationally, and brings a strong understanding of our unique capabilities and platforms.  We’re glad to have him re-join the Entravision team and look forward to benefiting from his leadership and sales expertise.”

Garcia served as NSM for 11 Entravision stations from its Dallas hub. He’s also been an AE at Entravision’s El Paso stations. He most recently served as Director of Sales for Nexstar Media Group‘s El Paso operations.
