Award winning Uruguayan journalist and former Telemundo TV anchor Pedro Sevcec (“Noticiero Telemundo Nightly”) has signed with WSUA-AM Miami Radio Caracol 1260 AM. He’s now hosting “La Ventana”, the station’s new afternoon drive show (as of 9/6) Monday-Friday from 1-4 pm.

La Ventana combines local, national, and international news with entertainment, interviews, and participation of experts on relationships and personal finances, where the audience will be one of the biggest contributors.

Along with his program, Sevcec will also provide GLR Networks, PRISA Radio’s content production and distribution company in the US, with vignettes including comments on current affairs, personal finance information and motivational themes, among others, which will air daily on more than 100 affiliated stations.

Pedro will continue to host his television show “Sevcec a Fondo”, Monday-Friday at 10:30 p.m on America TeVe.

Throughout his career, Sevcec has covered major news events worldwide, including the invasion of Panama, the fall of the Berlin Wall, the wars in Nicaragua and El Salvador, the attacks of 9/11 and the war in Iraq, among others. His interviews include Mikhail Gorbachev, President George W. Bush, Fidel Castro and Vicente Fox of Mexico.

Sevcec also scored multiple Emmy Awards for his news coverage. On Telemundo, he also became the first male host in a talk show in Spanish-language TV through his former show “Sevcec”. He was also part of the team of journalists who won a Pulitzer Prize for their coverage of Hurricane Andrew in the Miami Herald.
