Radio On The TV: Komando Gets Global Show

A radio host synonymous with tech lifestyle who hosts a nationally distributed program syndicated across more than 400 stations is preparing to reach an international audience — via television.

WestStar Multimedia Entertainment, home of The Kim Komando Show, Komando.com, and the podcast network PodNet.com, has confirmed that Komando’s show will begin airing on Bloomberg Television on January 5, 2019.

“We’re thrilled to take our content to an international audience,” said Komando. “We’re taking what we’ve perfected on the airwaves over the last 20 years, reaching millions of Americans each week, and sharing it worldwide. How cool is that?”

Komando’s one-hour television show will air weekly at 4pm Eastern/10pm CET Saturdays and will feature call-in segments including consumers from all walks of life — individuals with basic questions to business executives who run multinational corporations.

The TV version of Komando’s national call-in radio show will be produced to speak to Bloomberg’s audience of business executives, industry leaders, investors, and entrepreneurs. It will be produced at WestStar’s Phoenix broadcast center.

“We’re all about tech wellness and helping consumers use technology to enrich their lives and improve their businesses,” Komando said.

The TV program will be distributed to approximately 300 million homes throughout North America, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, via Bloomberg Television Network’s cable and satellite delivery.

This does not impact Komando’s three-hour consumer tech-lifestyle call-in radio show broadcast from Phoenix each week, nor does it effect the daily Consumer Tech Update heard on 300 radio stations, her two weekly podcasts, or her USA Today syndicated columnist.

WestStar Multimedia Entertainment is a private company founded by Komando and Barry Young.
