Radio Phantom Brings Portable Delivery For Customized Production

Thanks to what is being billed as “major enhancements” to a widely used radio industry tech platform, customized production can now be pushed to an on-air automation system from any device, fully programmed.

That’s the product promise being offered by United Stations Radio Networks, the company behind Phantom Producer.

With its newest version, Phantom Producer has an auto-load feature that gives radio station programmers and producers the ability to load and schedule imaging via the cloud via a tap of the finger. This is designed to erase the need for real-time “dubbing” of the audio and eliminate the time and manpower usually needed to trim, time and program the piece.

Phantom Producer is compatible with a wide range of automation platforms, including Wide Orbit and NexGen.

USRN notes, “As programming and production staffers find themselves covering more stations over wider territory, the Phantom Producer App allows the freedom to work from multiple locations while still being connected to each studio play-out system.  Multi-format and multi-station programmers can toggle between accounts without needing to establish new connections, while [air personalities] that use the service while on the air can rapid-fire their produced pieces into the automation as music is playing, and they can do so from a tablet, smartphone or computer.”

USRN says the new features have been developed in direct response to user requests, including adaptations to include various auto-ingesting methods used by stations to add relevant data and audio in one action to save time.

Phantom Producer is currently serving the CHR, AC, Hot AC, Rock, Classic Rock and Classic Hits formats. There are also two Country services and one service exclusively for morning shows.
