Although Dow was down by about an eighth of a percent, S&P and Nasdaq were both up about a quarter of a percent. One report said energy stocks were the driver of the black ink. Radio stocks were able to leave the up crowd in the dust, with gains of 2.8% fueled almost entirely by a 35% gain at Emmis. TV was up too, but it was about as close to flat as an up day could be.
The RBR Radio Index rose 8.596, or 2.8%, to 309.048.
The TVBR Television Index rose 0.243, or 0.1%, to 219.002.
