Radio’s Big Ad Spending Twins


Two big brands have stood out across 2019 as the biggest supporters of radio, from an advertising standpoint. For the week ending Nov. 24, their commitment to radio is as strong as ever.

As shown below, the latest Media Monitors Spot 10 Radio report has The Home Depot and GEICO 1-2 as the top advertisers by play count.

In fact, the two companies combined for more than 101,000 spots in the seven-day period ending Nov. 24.

Meanwhile, steady activity is the hallmark of the latest report, with State Farm and Vicks remaining top advertisers.


  1. I don’t want to call this list misleading…but I’m pretty sure it’s all network/barter/remnant inventory that these accounts are buying. The dollars never really reach the local radio stations as national business.
