The American Cancer Society has named Spanish Broadcasting System President and CEO Raul Alarcon Jr. 2012 Gala Honoree for his continuous support to the South Florida community. He’ll be honored at the Annual Gala on Saturday April 21st at the InterContinental Miami.
A second generation broadcaster, Alarcon joined SBS as an account executive in 1983. He has been the President and a director since October 1985 and CEO since June 1994. He became the Chairman of the board of directors in 1999 and continues as President and CEO.
“To be recognized by the American Cancer Society is an honor which I would like to share with the millions of Hispanic entrepreneurs in America who are transforming our economy,” said Alarcon. “I am grateful and proud to represent the interests of the growing Hispanic business community around the nation.”

Over 700 influential leaders of Miami’s social and corporate communities are expected for a night of elegance, exquisite food, and live entertainment.
