Numerous media outlets in Houston reported the death of legendary newsman Ray Miller. The retired News Director of KPRC-TV had been a huge figure in Houston news coverage for 53 years until his retirement in 1979 and was fondly remembered by former staffers, including Dan Rather and Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-TX). Miller was 89 when he died on Saturday.
