“It’s very significant,” Chief Technology Officer and head of strategy Alan Young says in this fresh RBR+TVBR InFOCUS podcast. “The rollout of ATSC 3.0 is a major step forward for the broadcasters. The challenge with it is that the FCC did not allocate any new spectrum. Because the NEXTGEN TV standard is not compatible with the existing standard, that presents somewhat of a challenge.”
