ReachMD launches “Heart Matters”

ReachMD, provider of advanced healthcare information for medical professionals by medical professionals, announced the launch of the Heart Matters programming series on XM 160. The 13-week programming series will feature the latest developments in cardiology from the perspective of the world’s top medical experts. Shows will provide practicing clinicians with important updates on recent trends, promising new technologies, and key research findings relevant to practicing cardiology and other related patient care.  


Heart Matters will be hosted by three of the world’s leading medical authorities from the American College of Cardiology: Dr. Jack Lewin, chief executive officer; Dr. Doug Weaver, president; and Dr. Janet Wright, senior vice president for science and quality.

Current program topics include healthcare reform, more aggressive ablation procedures for atrial fibrillation, guidelines for ST-Elevation MI featuring, and measures to improve quality and physician payments.  In addition to guests such as Dr. James Dove, past president of the American College of Cardiology, who will discuss strategies to improve the integration of quality into the health care system, and Dr. Uwe Reinhardt, the James Madison professor of political economy and professor of economics and public affairs at Princeton University, who will explain how our current medical system produces staggering billing disparities, Heart Matters will continue to reassure experts in the field.
