The star witness at today’s House Judiciary Committee hearing will be Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan. He’s expected to be the lone practicing professional musician on the panel, which will also feature RIAA’s Mitch Bainwol. Appearing on behalf of broadcasters are NAB Radio Board Chairman/Commonwealth Broadcasting head Steve Newberry and Patrick Communications honcho Larry Patrick. A union rep and college professor are also expected to be on hand.
