U.S. financial markets finished the first week of Q4 2018 on a downbeat note, as the Dow Jones Industrial Average dipped 180.43 points, to 26,447.05. Nasdaq was off 91.06 points, to 7,788.45.
Media shares were mostly on the decline.
Viacom’s Class B shares fell 45 cents, to $32.60.
For Tribune Media, a 30-cent dip put shares at $37.92.
At former suitor Sinclair Broadcast Group, Friday’s trading saw a 21-cent dip to $28.53.
Of the biggest decliners, Nexstar Media Group experienced a $2.07-per share fall, to $79.45.
