Redl Resigns As FM Translator Interference R&O Gets OK

For 18 months, David Redl served at the National Telecommunications and Information Administration, first as Asst. Secretary for Communication and Information and then as Administrator of the NTIA, housed within the U.S. Department of Commerce.

He has also been Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Communications and Information.

On Thursday morning, word of Redl’s resignation became known, thanks in large part to the FCC, which used its May Open Meeting to adopt a Report and Order that “streamlines and improves the FM translator interference complaint and resolution process.”
