After nearly two years as Director of Branding and Programming for Cox Media Group‘s Hot AC in Tulsa, Nate Reed has just received a promotion.

Reed now has the role of Operations Manager for the entire CMG/Tulsa station group, rising from a role that saw him concentrate on KRAV-FM 96.5.

He reports to Market VP Cathy Gunther, who said, “Nate’s commitment to strong programming will continue to set our stations apart from our competitors. He has been a natural leader at our radio properties and now, with all our platforms working together, he will be integral part of our new leadership team.”

Commenting on the promotion, CMG VP/Programming Steve Smith said, “Nate is a great addition to our programming roster. I have no doubt he will continue to lead our Tulsa cluster to even higher heights. He is a Warrior!”

Reed started his career in 1996 as Asst. PD/MD and midday host for WWCK-FM “CK105″ in Flint, Mich.

From 2001-2008, he served as PD/midday host of WRCL-FM 93.7 in Flint.

He then joined Clear Channel, working in Toledo in brand management and digital content initiatives across the company’s stations in the Ohio market. He joined Cox in May 2016 following a stint as SVP/Programming for iHeart/Toledo.

“CMG has felt like home since day one,” Reed said. “I’m excited to lead our team as we adapt today for the media landscape of tomorrow, which helps us bring heightened awareness to our fans and more value to our clients than any other company in the market.”
