The transaction announced at the beginning of this month was couched as an LMA-to-buy. Hutton Broadcasting said it would run American General Media’s KTRC-AM Santa Fe, adding it to a cluster already comprised of KVSF-AM, KBAC-FM, KBLU-FM, KVSF-FM & KQBA-FM. Without missing a beat, the “to-buy” portion of the LMA was filed with the FCC. Hutton has agreed to pay AGM $500K cash for the station. The LMA is scheduled to kick-off 11/1/08. KTRC-AM is already providing programming from Air America; Managing Partner/GM Scott Hutton said he’ll be looking to add local talkers into the mix.
