Rep Firm Sharpens Its Executive Lineup

Regional RepsJust about a year shy of its 60th birthday, radio sales service Regional Reps Corporation is getting a new CEO who will keep the company’s familial heritage alive. And there are other changes in the executive suite as well.

Taking the helm as CEO the company will be Shayna Sharpe. He father, Stuart J. Sharpe, moves to Chairman of the Board. He’s run the company since acquiring it in 1985.

For Shayna Sharpe, the move into the corner office culminates a record with RRC that began while she was in high school and handled phone answering and order confirmation chores. In between, she had stops at Clear Channel/Cleveland and Arbitron before coming back home to RR in 2008.

Additionally, Jeffrey T. Slivka is named President, Mandee S. Kalinowski becomes Vice President/Client Services, and Angela M. Metcalf is named Senior Network Coordinator.

In announcing the changes, Stuart J. Sharpe said, “Shayna’s successful experience at the station level with Clear Channel and sales and research with Arbitron, along with her growing reputation in the industry made her a compelling choice to take the reins at regional Reps! She has a clear understanding of what station executives look for in a rep firm and what it takes to make sure they get it! It is gratifying to have a daughter (or son) follow in your footsteps; it is even more rewarding when that daughter reaches a high level of skill and success on her own terms, as has Shayna. With the new management team in place, and Shayna at the helm, I’m confident, and very proud to say, Regional Reps will be in good hands for many years to come.”
