A few days after the first round bids were submitted for Hulu, some word is leaking out about the bidding war. The lead bidders appear to be pretty much the names you expected.
According to the BusinessInsider website, the top bid(s) are right at the target of $2 billion, although some came in at only a quarter of that. The website indicates that Google is the bidder to beat, just because Google really wants Hulu and it has the money to buy pretty much whatever it wants.
As we predicted, the other leading bidder is Amazon.com, which also has plenty of cash to spend and reasons to want Hulu. And don’t rule out Yahoo!
