Republican reps target moderate Dems

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee already kicked off advertising for 2010 with a radio blitz targeting 28 vulnerable Republicans. Now the National Republican Congressional Committee is returning the favor. In fact, the NRCC may see DCCC’s 28 and raise them two, hitting 30 Dems believed to be vulnerable in 2010, including the always-targeted newcomers. Republican creative will try to use the Democrats’ own words against them, but a DCCC spokesperson told Politico that his group was flattered by imitation.

RBR/TVBR observation: If there’s one category that does not figure to be hurt by the economy, it’s political. Too bad it’s only really hot for a few months at a time, and only in certain hotly contested areas.
