Revo launches the Ikon touchscreen digital radio

T3 reports the Revo Ikon is the world’s first color touchscreen, multi-format digital radio. Which means it doesn’t just offer DAB (Eureka-147) radio, but also offers access to DAB+, internet radio, FM with RDS and if that’s not enough, access to Last.fm.

All the controls are via that 3.5-inch color touchscreen, which also displays color station logos, station descriptions, track and artist information and news headlines, along with details of what’s happening with your iPod and iPhone. Didn’t we mention that? Yes, the Ikon even has a docking slot for your Apple player, as well as being able to stream music from a networked computer, displaying full color album artwork and track information where available.

In terms of audio output, the Ikon uses NXT’s patented ‘Balanced-Radiator’ (BR) loudspeaker technology for that staple of the tabletop audio system, ‘room-filling sound’, with around 30w of output available from the class D amplifier.
