In September 2018, an operator of an AM radio station serving a small Arizona town made headlines for its unsuccessful request for experimental authority to keep the FM translator tied to the AM on the air while taking the Class D AM, its main “feeder” station, off the air under an STA.
Now, that licensee wants to own another FM translator it uses in this municipality.
