A German firm known for Test & Measurement, Secure Communications, Radio Monitoring & Radio Location is bulking up its U.S. operations with the hire of a Broadcast Field Engineer and a Broadcast & Media Solutions Architect.
Now serving in the engineer role is Lou Moyer, and he takes the lead in providing all Rohde & Schwarz transmitter customers with support and guidance on field service and installations throughout the ongoing FCC post-spectrum auction repack process.
Moyer joins R&S after previously serving as a lead field service engineer for GatesAir. Before that, he spent four years with Harris as a Video Networking Service Manager and Installation Manager. He also spent five years installing and servicing transmitters with Manion & Associates, before running his own transmitter consulting business, Moyer & Associates.
Also coming on board stateside for Rohde & Schwarz is Carlos Carmona, most recently a Senior Solutions Architect at NBCUniversal Media. Prior to that, he spent three years as a Production Manager for Client Production Services at Sony Pictures Entertainment and also held the position as a Production Manager for Deluxe Digital Studios and as an Audio and Film Technician for DreamWorks SKG.
In his new role at R&S, Carmona will primarily focus on customer support for broadcast and media customers.
Both report to R&S USA VP/Broadcast & Media Erik Balladares, who said, “We feel that it is imperative to offer a level of customer support and to establish a new customer support standard that transcends anything currently in place in our industry, especially throughout the ongoing FCC Repack.”
