Video delivery and cable access virtualization company Harmonic has expanded its board of directors with the appointment of a strategic advisor to Roku.
Joining the board is David Krall, who Harmonic President/CEO Patrick Harshman singled out for his “extensive executive leadership and board experience, and particularly his strong digital and streaming media background.”
Harmonic has grown its business through OTT SaaS and virtualized cable access solutions.
“Harmonic is well positioned to drive a new phase of growth through its VOS OTT streaming and new CableOS virtualized cable access innovations,” Krall said. “I am looking forward to helping the company deliver on its market leadership and shareholder value creation vision.”
Krall is a former President/COO of Roku and was a President/CEO of Avid Technology.
