Friday’s closing bell saw stock prices slightly higher than the previous day, although the Dow Jones Industrial Average had slipped below 10K in trading after word that more jobs were lost last month, although the jobless rate improved (because some of the unemployed gave up on finding work). The DJIA ended Friday up 10 points, or 0.1%, to spend the weekend at 10,012. Stock prices had gone through wilder swings earlier in the week, and were down for the week. Broadcasting stocks missed out on the late Friday bounceback and ended the day lower.
The RBR Radio Index was down 4.193, or 2%, to 207.760.
The TVBR Television Index was down 1.717, or 1.2%, to 137.442.
