A school district is divesting its noncom station, WHSS-FM 89.5, serving Cincinnati from nearby Hamilton OH, as a result of an auction conducted Broadcast Management and Technology President/CEO Jay Meyers. As a result, Sacred Heart Radio will be getting the station for $156K, building an old-fashioned AM-FM combo with its WNOP-AM 740.
Meyers said that three bidders started out, with two lasting to the bitter end of the two-hour proceeding. The auction was held 8/25/10, and paperwork will be headed to the FCC shortly seeking necessary regulatory approval.
