Safe harbor for ED ads?

House members Jim Moran (D-VA) and Robert Brady (D-PA) have introduced a bill – H.R. 2175 – that would prohibit the airing of any erectile dysfunction ad on radio or television between the hours of 6AM-10PM, thereby attempting to confer on them status equal to f-bombs and other indecent broadcast no-no’s. The measure has been referred to committee.


RBR/TVBR observation: You know, acne is pretty gross. Why don’t we ban acne cream commercials while we’re at it? You probably have some good suggestions. I always hated those Wisk ads. Let’s get rid of them. As Dave Barry once pointed out, it’s not what you ban, it’s that you participate in the banning process. That is what freedom is all about.
