Saga License Challenge FLAIMs Out


Saga Communications, Inc.Yeah, we spelled that right. The withdrawal of radio ratings from the former Ithaca NY market actually worked to the benefit of Saga Communications. Switching from the market to the contour method to determine local cap compliance allowed it to acquire a station, but led to a petition to deny new licenses for all of the stations in the cluster.

The stations include WHCU-AM, WNYY-AM, WQNY-FM & WYXL-FM, all licensed to Ithaca, plus WFIZ-AM Odessa and WIII-FM Cortland.
