The sale of WBIX-AM to Holy Family Communications is official. It sends $1M to Alex Langer’s Langer Communications, and according to broker John Pierce, who handled the deal, it acknowledges $500K in additional fair market value for the station that Langer will be able to use as a charitable tax deduction. Jim Wright, head of the buyer, will replace the 1060 kHz station’s business format with religious programming.
