Jerry T. Hanszen has a five-station group in eastern Texas, and will be getting a sixth thanks to a subsidiary of Salem Communications. Salem’s Inspirational Media of Texas is sending KPXI-FM Overton TX to Hanszen for $350K cash. The station is south of Tyler-Longview closer to Tyler. Hanszen’s other stations, not considered part of the Arbitron market, are further east and south of Longview. They include KGAS AM-FM Carthage, KMHT AM-FM Marshall, and the LMA/acquisition of KWRD-AM Henderson, all in Texas.
