Cox Media Group (CMG) Atlanta has named Sasha the Diva as midday host on WALR-FM. “Sasha the Diva has built a reputation in Atlanta for her celebrity interviews, her fierce sense of fashion and her tireless commitment to the community,” said Tony Kidd, VP of Programming for CMG Atlanta Radio. “She has a fearless approach to life that captivates Atlanta listeners, and we look forward to seeing Sasha the Diva reach an even wider audience in this new role.”
Prior to joining WALR in 2002, she hosted “Midday with Sasha” on Magic 95.9 in Baltimore. Listeners also caught a glimpse of this radio icon in films such as “The Gospel” and Tyler Perry’s “Daddy’s Little Girls.”
“Sasha knows her listeners and understands what it takes to compete for the mid-day audience,” Kidd added. “We are building momentum at WALR, and Sasha will help us expand WALR’s reach.”
