In Late-Night Metered-Market Household Averages for Saturday night:
- An encore telecast of “Saturday Night Live,” with host Daniel Radcliffe and musical guest Lana Del Rey (3.3/8 in metered-market households), dominated its time period.
- In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, “Saturday Night Live” averaged a 1.7 rating, 8 share in adults 18-49. The “SNL” encore was the night’s #1 program in the Local People Meters, ahead of all primetime telecasts on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox.
Saturday Primetime Results:
- At 8 p.m. ET, “Escape Routes” averaged a 0.3/1 in 18-49 and 1.1 million viewers overall. Pending updates, “Escape Routes” is up a tenth of a point in adults 18-49 versus the prior week (to a 0.3 from a 0.2) and up 18 percent in total viewers (1.137 million vs. 0.962 million). At 9 p.m., “The Firm” averaged a 0.3/1 in 18-49 and 1.7 million viewers overall. And at 10 p.m. ET, an encore “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” delivered a 0.7/2 in 18-49 and 3.1 million viewers overall. From its first half-hour to its second, “SVU” grew by 17 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 0.7 rating from a 0.6), 25 percent in adults 25-54 (1.0 vs. 0.8) and 25 percent in total viewers (3.4 million vs. 2.7 million).
On the Other Networks Saturday night
- On a lackluster Saturday, ABC and Fox (0.8/2 each) tied for the nightlong win. Fox ran an “America’s Most Wanted” special (0.8/2 from 8-10 p.m.), which continued the show’s steady decline as specials this season. The “AMW” track over those four telecasts has been: 1.5, 1.1, 1.0, 0.8. ABC ran a “Shark Tank” repeat (a first-place 0.8/3 at 8 p.m.) and a “20/20” special (0.8/2, tied for #2 from 9-11 p.m.). CBS (0.6/2) was #3 for the night with “Crimetime” repeats of “CSI” (a third-place 0.4/2 at 8 p.m.) and “Hawaii Five-0” (a third-place 0.6/2 at 9), plus an original “48 Hours” (a first-place 0.9/3 at 10).
