Saturday primetime: 'Law & Order' series a draw for NBC

At 8 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of “The Event” averaged a 0.7/2 in 18-49 and 3.3 million viewers overall.  “The Event” matched NBC’s highest in-season 18-49 rating in the time period since March 13 and delivered the network’s biggest overall in-season audience, excluding sports, since December 12, 2009.  Versus last week’s rebroadcast of the “Event” premiere in this slot, the show maintained its 18-49 rating and grew by 14 percent in total viewers (3.312 million vs. 2.900 million), pending updates.
 
At 9 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of Wednesday’s “Law & Order: Los Angeles” premiere (0.9/3 in 18-49, 4.5 million viewers overall) captured NBC’s highest in-season 18-49 rating in the time period since May 1 and biggest in-season overall audience in the slot since April 17.  “Law & Order: LA” grew from half-hour to half-hour by 25 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.0 from a 0.8) and by 15 percent in total viewers (4.8 million vs. 4.2 million).
 
At 10 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” (1.4/5 in 18-49, 5.9 million viewers overall) put the cuffs on NBC’s highest in-season 18-49 rating in the time period since March 6 and nabbed the network’s biggest in-season overall audience in the hour since November 7, 2009.  From its first half-hour to its second, “SVU” grew by 15 percent in adult 18-49 rating (to a 1.5 from a 1.3), 18 percent in adult 25-54 rating (2.0 vs. 1.7) and 11 percent in total viewers (6.2 million vs. 5.5 million)
