Savage interviews Donald Trump

Talk Radio Network’s Michael Savage, interviewed Donald Trump to discuss his political views and his possible decision to run for President in 2012.  During the segment Trump indicated he would be making an official announcement regarding any 2012 Presidential Campaign sometime in June, when his TV Show The Celebrity Apprentice wraps.

Trump and Savage discussed ‘Running the Country Like a Business.’  Trade policies with China were discussed during the show.  Trump said, “What China is doing to this country is absolutely a sin…When they manipulate the currency our country cannot compete…The President should cancel the upcoming meeting with China next week…until China stops the manipulation of currency.”

Trump also suggests a tariff on Chinese products by saying, “I would absolutely tax all products coming in from China.”  Savage asked, “What tax? What percent?” Trump responded by saying, “25%”.  Savage then pointed out the fact that China has already established tariffs on U.S. products.

Relations with South Korea were also topic as Trump made reference to the “one sided” trade agreement, for them and against the U.S. and South Korea’s recent refusal to sign the very generous agreement; until the U.S. had aircraft carriers in route to protect them from North Korea; at which time they signed the trade agreement because we are “great allies”.

Trump says, “We are protecting them.  Why aren’t they paying for that?…Why don’t we ask South Korea for something?…It is a very sad situation for the United States of America.”

Trump also mentioned that health care costs are hurting U.S. businesses.

RBR-TVBR observation: A lot of callers into the show have asked that Savage run for the high office. He has said so far he has no interest, but they seem to certainly be on the same page, in line with many Americans. No commentary on whether Trump would make a good president or not, but wouldn’t that be a ticket?: “Trump-Savage.”
