The Nielsen Company has called off its 2009 Client Meeting, which had been scheduled for March 11-13 in Las Vegas. In a note to clients, EVP Media Client Services Sara Erichson said, “Due to the current economic environment, a very significant number of our clients have already informed us that they would be unable to attend. Based on that input, we determined that holding the meeting as planned was not the right decision.” Instead, Nielsen is looking at regional meetings and online meetings to share with clients the information they would have gotten in Vegas.
